About the Trust

Rooted in our soil, growing a greener tomorrow

Karisakattu Poove Trust (Karisa Kattu Poove) is an environmental and social welfare NGO in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. We began with a simple belief — that the barren, sun-baked lands around Hosur could bloom again. Today we plant trees, grow Miyawaki forests, conserve water and revive ponds, bringing together volunteers, farmers, schools and companies to restore nature and uplift communities across Krishnagiri district.

Our Mission

To restore degraded land into thriving green ecosystems while empowering rural families through education, water security and livelihoods.

Our Vision

A Tamil Nadu where every village is surrounded by forests, every child learns under green canopies, and no family is left behind.

Honoured with the Green Champion Award 2023

The Government of Tamil Nadu recognised Karisakattu Poove Trust with the “Green Champion Award” (2023) for exemplary contribution in the field of environmental protection and awareness.

Presented on 15 August 2024 by the Krishnagiri District Collector, Mrs. Sarayu IAS — a proud milestone for our volunteers and partners.
